WASHINGTON- Congressman Lee Terry continued his strong support of small businesses by voting for the Enhancing Small Business Research and Innovation Act of 2009, H.R. 2965. The bill passed 386-41.
“Small businesses in Nebraska are the backbone of our area economy,” said Congressman Lee Terry. “Thanks to this legislation small business owners will have greater access to funds to help them expand, grow and compete. Small businesses have taken a hit due to the slumping economy and providing them assistance to compete against larger businesses for research and development funds is critically important to their success and to our nation’s economy.”
This legislation will improve the competitiveness of small businesses in the fields of technology training and technology information exchange and significantly increases federal grants for small businesses.
