WASHINGTON- Congressman Lee Terry issued the following statement on the anniversary of the September 11, 2001 tragedy:
“We should pause and remember the thousands of innocent people who lost their lives to such a senseless tragedy eight years ago today. It was a day that changed our country forever and the pain was felt around the world. I am proud of the patriotism shown by the great citizens of the United States during the difficult days following 9-11 and for the bravery and sacrifice by our first responders. Today is a stark reminder that we must continue to diligently fight for our freedoms and I thank our men and women in uniform who are currently serving to protect our country.”
