Congress must control its spending habits.

I am extremely concerned about the out of control spending in Washington, D.C.  which is only adding to our yearly deficit and massive national debt.  Lumping several appropriation bills into one single bill is known as an omnibus bill and it is a poor way to govern.  The American people expect Congress to openly debate on the House floor how we spend their tax dollars.  Omnibus bills limits debate and does not allow for any changes to the bill.  I have opposed omnibus spending bills under both the Republican and Democratic leadership in the House and will continue to do so.
