I support a gradual removal of troops from Iraq and increased troops in Afghanistan to continue to the fight the war on terror.

I support the Iraqi timetable, which closely resembles the Administration’s timetable for gradual removal of troops from Iraq.

Terrorists have declared war not just on the United States, but on anyone who does not share their radical religious tenets.  We need to defeat them in the Middle East to show the world that terrorism will not succeed and to prevent the establishment of a terrorist state.

President Obama has announced he will send more than 20,000 more troops to Afghanistan.  I believe this is a necessary step and I support President Obama’s decision to send more troops to Afghanistan.   The resurgence of Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan and Pakistan has made the area increasingly volatile and immediate action is needed to continue to aggressively fight the war on terror.
